Dr. Tanny Tarafder graduated from Sir Salimullah Medical College in Dhaka and began her career in surgery. She completed her surgical training at Mitford Hospital and Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and received the Fellowship (FCPS, Surgery) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. To further enhance her knowledge, she also obtained membership (MRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK. Dr. Tarafder has gained extensive experience and expertise in General Surgery, with a particular focus on Breast and Colorectal diseases, hernia, and laparoscopic surgery. She aims to modernize surgical practices in Bangladesh by incorporating the latest diagnostic and surgical/nonsurgical disease management protocols. She keeps herself updated by attending international seminars and training courses to maintain international standards. She excelled in the training course for breast disease management at the Department of Endocrine Surgery at Christian Medical College (CMC) in Vellore, India. Dr. Tarafder is a lifelong member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Breast Surgeons of Bangladesh (ABSB), Asian Society of Mastology (ASOMA), and Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SLSB).
