Service Providers for VDRL (Qty)

The VDRL (Qty) test, also known as the quantitative VDRL test, measures the level of antibodies against Treponema pallidum, the bacterium that causes syphilis, in the blood. Unlike the standard VDRL test, which is qualitative, the quantitative version measures the amount of antibodies, providing a clearer picture of the infection’s progression or response to treatment. A blood sample is drawn for the test. No special preparation is typically required. Risks include mild discomfort during the blood draw. High levels of antibodies may suggest active syphilis, while low levels can indicate successful treatment or past infection.
