Service Providers for CD99
CD99 is a cell surface protein expressed on various cell types, including T lymphocytes, endothelial cells, and certain tumor cells, playing a role in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. Clinically, it is a key diagnostic marker for Ewing’s sarcoma and primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNET), as these malignancies typically show strong expression of CD99. It is also used in immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry to differentiate these tumors from other cancers, as well as in the diagnosis of T cell lymphomas and other hematologic conditions. CD99 is particularly valuable in tumor identification and characterization in oncology.
