Service Providers for Anti-ds DNA

The Anti-dsDNA (Anti-double-stranded DNA) test detects antibodies against the double-stranded DNA found in the nucleus of cells. These antibodies are highly specific for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks healthy tissue. A positive result indicates active lupus and may be associated with more severe forms of the disease, particularly renal involvement. The test is performed using a blood sample, and risks are minimal, usually involving slight discomfort during the blood draw. Elevated levels of anti-dsDNA can assist in diagnosing SLE and monitoring disease activity.
